Branding guide for small business

Contest Brief

My dad has a small business and wants to get some more mature branding. Most of the work would probably live on LinkedIn and a Squarespace site that he can adjust.

I want to show him a few different logo options (a full logo and a simpler logo), color schemes, fonts, and business card designs. Any additional branding material you have would be greatly appreciated as well.

Business name: Mendoza Engineering PLLC

Services: structural engineering - he provides structural designs for commercial and residential projects with a specialty in windstorm design (think hurricane wind resistance - important in South Texas). He's the guy that makes the blueprints constructions companies use to actually build something.

Aesthetic: He's an old-school minimalist guy so nothing too flowery. A simple but thoughtful design would be perfect for him. He's not really tied to any specific color scheme and we can always adjust - his current color scheme is rust and a dark green (I'm not big on it and want to show other options). Really don't think he has an opinion on fonts tbh. Anything is better than where he's at now. I eventually want to take the logo and use it for business cards, shirts, stickers, and other swag generally.
