Contest Brief

This project is a Children's book that requires illustrations on every other page. The illustrations are simple, requiring a fade-in effect so as to allow the illustration to be placed anywhere on the page. Each illustration will be quite similar, in that they will all have a similar view. The idea is that the reader is looking through a window into a small decorative tree, just outside the window, and looking at a bird nest similar to what is shown in the attached photo. However, each illustration will have only slight changes to the nest as follows:
1. looking out a small room window at a partial bird nest in small decorative tree
2. looking out a small room window at a partial bird nest in small decorative tree
3. looking out a small room window at a bird nest with three to four small bird eggs
4. looking out a small room window at a bird nest with three small baby birds with no feathers
5. looking out a small room window at a bird nest with three young birds with feathers
6. looking out a small room window at an empty bird nest

I'm not looking for a cartoon drawing, but somewhat realistic. I'm unsure on selecting a penciled drawing, or something in color. Maybe something that is in color with pencil effect.

I wanted to thank each of you for your hard work. I've been very impressed by the level of professionalism and dedication that each of you have, and for working with me on drawing what was so difficult for me to explain was in my mind. I had a bunch of little helpers in deciding which illustrations to select. Some have asked why I'm purchased multiple entries. To explain this, I can only say that many of you helped to bring to life what I was seeing in my mind. Your drawings brought forward emotions that I will always hold dear. This has been a journey, and you have been a wonderful part of it. I don't take any of your hard work for granted. This is my simple way of saying thank you!

  no character needed at this time. You can have partial room if you like, but not necessary for each image.

Would you accept a realistic drawing in crayons? or do you need drawings with vectors? Professional illustrations for children are usually made by hand. they are artistic compassions.

what do u mean with " fade effect " ?? do you mean it must have some kind of transparent edges ?

  I don't have to have a fade effect, but was just thinking of how a photo can have a focussed view, then the edges seem to go out of focus, almost like a depth of field change. I hope this helps.

by decorative tree you mean a tree with flowers on it?

  The type of tree has no flowers. It's similar to the tree in the photo of the above link. When I'm describing decorative, I was more meaning that it is a tree used for landscaping around your house, and one that does not grow large. I hope this helps.
