Contest Brief

PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY - I am looking for an illustrator to provide a series of scene drawings for a website project. I am holding a contest to find an illustrator to hire to do about 12 scenes in total. I will choose the winner based on one submission of a sample scene.

The website is similar to freelancer but for the Christian community. When a church wants to hire Pastors, singers, musicians, guest speakers, teachers, counselors and ministry workers they will use the site to search and hire applicants. Also, the Pastors and ministry workers will search churches that have job openings and they can apply.

The illustrations I need will show different small scenes of the type of work examples the website will support. Here is a short list of some of the scenes needed.

1. A Pastor/Minister marrying a couple
2. An empty church that needs a Pastor
3. A singer performing at a church
4. A Pastor flying on an airplane to speak at a church
5. A person sitting at a desk looking for jobs on the website

The character style is very important. I do not want faceless blah characters. I want to see rich designs of people with personalities and style. This company will have users from all backgrounds and ethnicities so they must be multi-cultural feel. Characters should be Black, White, Asian, Hispanic, or Middle Eastern, diversity of characters is really important. I have attached some sample character styles.

Please submit an illustration of a scene for the contest entry. Choose from the list of sample scenes. The winner will be determined by the best overall character creation and presentation of the overall idea. The winner will be asked to provide a proposal to complete all of the illustrated scenes for the website user interface. Submit your designs without watermarks, or logos or other elements. Your work will only be seen by myself and my client.

    To be clear the $200 is for a single entry and will be awarded to the contest winner for 1 entry here. After contest winner will provide a proposal or bid for additional scenes for the entire website project. Please be sure to submit an illustration that is worth $200.00 I need to see your range of style and skill levels based on one entry.
