3D character design for microgreens product packaging

Contest Brief

Our company, Mighty Greens, sells microgreens, which are tiny plants/vegetables that have not reached full size. Our slogan is “Plants that pack a punch”.

Our brand plays off of the idea that these tiny products are highly nutritious, flavorful, and great for our health; they are like food superheroes that fight off the evil, bad guys (disease and poor nutrition). We want these to convey a fun, friendly attitude while still being credible as a company.

We are in search of 3D designs for:
1) four (4) superhero characters that represent each of four of our microgreens products: broccoli, radish, sunflower, and pea.
2) three (3) zombie-style characters representing disease and poor nutrition (the evil, bad guys). One character is the main humanoid zombie, the second character is his pet zombie dog, and the third character is his pet zombie cat.

We want to be able to adjust the physical position of all seven (7) characters (the 4 superheroes + the 3 zombies). For example, we want to be able to change the direction that their arms are pointing or make them look like they are flying, jumping, punching, etc. We want to be able to change the perspective or angle from which we see the characters–for example, from different sides, from above or below, etc.

More details about the superheroes:
The superheroes are packed with nutrition (vitamins, minerals, etc.) that combat disease and promote good health in the human body. Their superpowers include high nutrition value, freshness, great taste, lovely appearance, great/varied texture, and all natural.

We are selling tiny microgrees, not full-size vegetables. THE SUPERHEROES SHOULD REPRESENT MICROGREENS, NOT FULL-SIZE VEGETABLES.

The superheroes may or may not have capes that consist of a large leaf that accurately represents the real leaf of each full-grown plant (photos attached for reference). The initial leaves that first sprout when the plant grows can be the eyes or ears of the superheroes’ faces, or maybe even the mask on their faces.

We will use the superheroes individually and in groups of 2, 3, or all 4. For example, the broccoli alone; the pea alone; the radish and the sunflower; the broccoli, pea, and radish together; etc.

For inspiration, these are some characteristics about each of the 4 superhero products: broccoli = versatile; radish = red, spicy, fresh flavor; sunflower = big, thick, heavy, strong, super crunchy; pea = smart, leader, tall, able to reach far distances. Refer to the attached photo of the Fantastic Four.

More details about the zombie-style, evil, bad guys:
The zombies are skinny with muted colors. They represent poor health, bad nutrition, disease/sickness, etc.
We will use the zombies individually and in groups of 2 or all 3. For example, the zombie man alone; the zombie man and the dog; the dog and the cat; etc.
