Contest Brief
Have you ever learned a foreign language? It can feel overwhelming, tedious, and just plain frustrating.
While living overseas, I learned that the best way to learn a language was by observing native speakers within the context of their daily lives. The only problem this created for me was that they would speak so fast! And, you can't just click a "pause" button and ask people to constantly repeat themselves so you can catch the nuances of speech or explain every word on-demand that you did not know in their sentence, then just press a magical resume play button. That would be great...right? That would make learning a language so much easier...
We'll you're in luck! Because now you can.
We enable you to learn the language of your choice at your own pace from the comfort of your own home by watching videos of native speakers with bilingual subtitles synced to the individual words in the video. Click on any word in the video's transcript to jump the video to that exact point in time in the video so you can hear them say the words again, and again, and again... as many times as you like. Plus, we define and translate every word in the transcript with just a click of the button.
Choose to watch videos that interest you. You can filter hundreds of videos by language, your language skill level, and theme. Watch videos about relationships, business, science, sports, music, cooking, and many more topics.
