Contest Brief

I'm a director of a Rotary Club in Australia and we need a new brochure. I have produced a draft brochure using PowerPoint as a guide to show what we need. It includes images (attached) and words (in the .pptx). The form factor is double sided DL (one-third of A4), colour. The .pptx file is at:

Some style guidelines:
--- the top third of the front page is critical --- that's where the key message, "make a difference", must be located, along with the club's logo
--- the top third of the back page is also important for conveying a key message
--- it needs to be obvious which is the front page and which is the back
--- the back page can be a lot denser --- ie. have a lot more words and images
--- Rotary's corporate colours are specific shades of blue and gold, see attached colour specs
--- if the background of a page is a solid colour (like the front page of the draft) a bleed area is required
--- I like the look and flexibility of Google's Raleway font but will consider alternatives
--- I would prefer it if the design tool used is Adobe InDesign and the final file must be provided in .ai
--- the club's motto, “By working together on exceptional projects, we transform lives, locally and globally” must be included.

It is not necessary for the design to be very different from the draft design (just done in a more elegant way perhaps?) but different approaches will also be considered. It does need to be DL format though and that means space is very tight.

The target audience for the brochure is people who may be interested in becoming members of the club. These people are generally 30-60 years of age, men and women, any religion, any ethnicity, etc. The key message we would like to convey is that by joining our club, you can use your skills and talents to make a difference in your community --- both your local community and the worldwide community.
