Contest Brief
We need a vector logo in Adobe Illustrator format. The company's name is "Jones Data & Design".
The company has a broad focus from web design to database to digital publishing so we'd like a logo that could encompass all those things while still conveying the idea that this is a digital company... not analog data and design. The company is located in a small town on main street, so people might not understand it's a digital/computer/tech company without some help from the logo.
When googling "data logo" there are many logos with various arrangements of square pixels, and we'd be interested in that as long as it was done in a creative or meaningful way. If there was some way to incorporate a diskette, usb drive, or power button in a modern and clean way, we'd be interested in that also. We don't want it to look like a copy of everyone else's "tech company" logo, though.
We're excited to see what you'll come up with!

Thank you all so much for your entries! We really appreciate it! We've made some individual comments to some of the logos but we'd also like to make some general comments. We'd prefer not to have a design on top of two lines of text. We think that takes up too much room on business cards, etc. We would prefer designs to be on the side of text. Two lines of text works great, with design on one or both sides. We also really really don't want to just use initials, such as JD or JDD. We'd like the name of the company to be used as a whole without initials placed around it. Other than that, we're really loving the use of icons... document icons, usbs, pixels... it's going to be very difficult to choose. We would also really love to see more font selections on the designs.
