Contest Brief

Hello Jasmine is a Taiwanese milk tea shop located in Chicago Chinatown. Hello Jasmine was rated as the best Asian food in Chicago and was also rated as the best milk tea spot among Chinese/Taiwanese international student. We want to redesign our current logo to reflect our brand identity. We sell authentic Taiwanese milk tea and other popular Taiwanese street food. In the next couple of months, we will open a new location that mainly features Taiwanese street food. We want to make our new location feels like a casual place where people can enjoy authentic Taiwanese culture and hang out. Therefore we want our logo to reflect the same thing. In terms of brand identity, our focuses are on craftsmanship, authenticity, and friendliness. We want to show that we care about the product quality and only delivers the best and authentic Taiwanese food/drink to our customer. We also want to create an environment where people feel like home.

That being said, we want the style to look professional, authentic, and welcoming to our customers without being repetitive comparing to other milk tea brand.

Our current logo contains two birds and a cup of milk tea. In the new version, we want to maintain the basic bird components. Ideally, we want to have the logo in two different versions, one in English and the other one in Chinese. Our English name is Hello Jasmine and our Chinese name is 好初台灣. It's fine that you only provide the English version, we can come up with the Chinese version later on.

In terms of color. We would like to use May green (somewhere around #4c9141) as our key color, we are also open to different shades or choices of green. But green is a must. We also want to incorporate the walnut color into the design as well.
