New business logo design

Contest Brief

I have recently branched out to start a consulting company named:
"Velanex Consulting Pty Ltd".

It's a small Australian company that will have no more than a hand full of consultants. Our specialization is in procurement, supply contract negotiation, new market entry strategies and offshore sourcing.
We need a logo for our company that will eventually be used on stationery, websites, business cards etc. There is no need for the whole company name to be included in the logo. The "mood" of the business is conservative but with a very strong understanding of technology and contemporary business needs.
