SPORT FISHING BOAT DESIGN WITH 3D CAD

Our client plans to build a sport fishing boat based on the design of an existing craft (boat A in the attached PDF file) and with an element of a different boat (pilot house of boat B).

However, rather than simply creating a straight copy, the objective of this project is to create a distinctive signature style, to be refreshingly different without going into extreme.

The parameters within which the designer should work are as follows.

• No changes to the hull shape and size.
• Flexibility in making changes to the superstructure (anything on top of the hull), but adopting the style of the pilot house of boat B and retaining the dual (steering) wheels: one inside and one outside the cockpit.
• Full flexibility in redesigning the interior (pilot house and cabin).
• Full flexibility in redesigning fittings such as hatches, windows, railings etc.

The design should be rendered to virtual reality standard using 3D CAD. From the visuals a marine engineer will finalise the technical drawing. This work is separate and is not part of this project/contest.
