Contest Brief

We need an artist to create a rendering, revamping the look of the front of our home. Here are the parameters:
1. We are ready to replace the roof, siding, windows...and update the front entry too. Different styles of siding, colors and design are all a go! For siding our thought was a dark taupe or a bark color; or a taupe green. Something that blends with nature. But we could be wrong!
2. Can add features to the roof, but cannot raise or change the pitch of the roof.
3. Can change window type/style/size. Upper level windows can only be made wider or lower as they are hitting the interior roofline at present. Shutters can go!
4. Revamp or enlarge - but not remove - front entry dormer (we need the inside space); would like to add a covered landing/porch. Location of entry has to remain where it is but entry door itself could be made a side entry off the dormer.
5.. Keep in mind the kitchen is to the lower left; the living room to the lower right. Bedrooms are on the upstairs level. Not standard, we know.
6. We will be removing the one car garage (photo 2) and replacing with a 3 car garage on the kitchen side of the home. New garage will be side facing (so the side of the garage will be flush with the house facade). Floor of garage and kitchen will be the same level.

  Hello! I think your rendering is pretty good, however, our garage is going to go sideways. The side of the garage will face the street, and the doors will face the side yard. Would it be hard to fix that? And would it be hard to update the color to a greyish green?

  Hi Liam. I am so happy you are choosing to create something for us. We are in need of a quality rendering to make our home more attractive (as you can see). I have added another front photo including the garage which will be demolished, and replaced with a 3 car side entry garage. I have also added a rear photo, per your request. The 3-car garage will extend a fair amount past the rear of the house, probably 12 feet or so. We are hoping to make that rear area a deck or patio with plantings, etc. as our budget allows. It may be that we hire the person providing this rendering to assist with that when the time comes.
