There should be a drop down box on the page with the selections of the drop down corresponding to the table column and when selected only the rows with the value of the column appear while still only displaying 3 to a page with page back and forward controls. In the below example of a db table the drop down box would contain the selections 1, 2 and 3. When the used selects 1 then the page output would only display Bob, Jane and Sarah.
