I use a fairly simply database with a php interface to store users of my app and their access credentials. My webserver is forcing me to upgrade from PHP 5.6 to PHP 7.4 and I need to make sure my php interface is compatible with the change. My desktop application connects to the php script, and the php script queries the db and returns whether the credentials are valid. There is not much logic, just storing and retrieving values.
