...there are a lot of scripts on the internet to compile ffmpeg for the various platforms. The bad news is that each platform has different compile script projects with so many moving pieces that a lot of things can break. I attempted Windows compilation using ffmpeg-windows-build-helpers and [got the following errors]() for Win64 and Win32; couldn't be so simple. Apparently there are issues with compiling lensfun that need to be fixed upstream, dunno when that will be fixed. Can wait a week or two if needed. This is to publish an open source software, and there are lots of moving pieces here that can be time-consuming to figure out so I might as well leave someone have fun with it. Transmits a block of data on COMx out of a prefilled buffer, while receiving on COMx (same port) into another buffer, then waits, then compares the two buffers, counts and reports any errors, then cleans up and does it again. Very simple! I am looking for someone who actually knows how to send data to a COM port and how to receive data from a COM port AND WHO HAS DONE THIS BEFORE. I am supplying MS VC++ sources from another program, which does mostly work, but while the transmission is done right, the reception is not.
