I need a custom Ruby script that will live inside SketchUp and turn data pulled from an Excel spreadsheet into fully drafted residential floor-plans. The routine must read a user-selected workbook, parse the key room sizes, wall thicknesses and opening schedules, then draw walls, partitions, doors and windows at the right positions and layers. I already handle the architectural standards; what I am missing is the push-button workflow that lets my team open SketchUp, point to an .xlsx file and see a clean plan appear in either the model space or LayOut with correct groups, tags and names.
