I have the car part that has been high-res scanned (stl file available) and needs to be re-drawn so we can remanufacture the part. The part is called a Heater closing panel and consists of a steel (base-) plate and this plate has been molded with rubber. The rubber side it faces the motorcompartment and it covers a 'box' where the Heaterunit is mounted. The rubber closes off this box for moisture and reduces noise. On this Heater closing panel wiring is mounted and something called a Water valve. The part needs to be 3d-moddeled into two parts: - Steel plate - Rubber part The idea is that the 3D-model of the steel plate will be 3d-printed in hard platic. For the rubber part we need to make a (silicone- two part) mold so we can pour liquid rubber into it. After pouring the rubber part these parts will be mounted together. The rubber part needs some remoddeling like thicker ans straight walls for a perfect cast. For the plate we need to replace the current threads with holes for bolts.
