Bleak House Characters

Please provide assessments of (at least) two characters—elements of their revealed nature and actions, what you think of them—as of the middle of Bleak House. You may spend more time on one than the other, and though you are not required to you may of course refer to other characters too. The purpose of this assignment is simply to give you practice in writing on characters and character development—a natural component of studying great literature. Your report may take one of several forms: (a.) compare and contrast two characters, (b.) nominate at least two for Most Deplorable in the Basket of Deplorables, and argue why one should be awarded the prize, or, (c.) compare two characters with parallel characters in the real world.
