Configure Liferay to prevent disabled active directory users from logging in

We have an instance of Liferay 6.2 running on Glassfish 4 and configured to authenticate through Active Directory

We need to have the following requirement implemented:

When a user is disabled in AD, it should not be able to login from Liferay

When it's enabled again, it should be able to login again

This requirement is not supported out of the box, and this is why we need a developer to work on this:

This task will probably need someone with experience in writing Liferay extensions
