Android Media Stream Receiver

We'd like to create a simple Android app that can receive streaming from rtmp sources. The interface is simple, like TV channels. As the app loads, the company logo is displayed. The list of rtmp 'channels' will be then be received by the app through xml format and converted to a list that the hardware (using remote) can flip through. On the remote, pressing a button will display the list of all the channels available. Also, we'd like to consider the possibility of retrieving ads while the app is loading the channel.
