Our Project: We are currently working on a service to generate food portfolios to obtain certain nutrient goals. Therefore we need somebody to build an Android application that connects to our backend solution. The backend is hosted at Amazon Web Services (AWS). So basic understanding of AWS products would be helpful for you. API for AWS Backend: The backend solution consists basically of an AWS Lambda function and a RDS SQL Server instance so far. The Lambda function is written in Python 2.7. Therefore the request for the Lambda function should be JSON-formatted. The API can easily be established by means of an Android SDK provided by AWS to connect to an AWS Cognito User Pool. Operation of native app: The native application should save some user specific data in an SQLite DB. This Data will either be passed through the Lambda function API or synchronized to an AWS DB (Android SDK also provided by AWS). We would adapt the Lambda function therefore. Furthermore the mobile app has to pull images from an RDS/noSQL DB also hosted at AWS. The app should provide the option to sign in for a user account either via social networks like facebook and google+ or via an email verification. We want you to provide a solid working well commented android application. Layout: For the GUI we provide a mock-up (set of sketches on a smartphone interface template). That should illustrate our first idea of the user interface and the basic user ↔ smartphone interaction. We appreciate your own ideas for certain widgets or views you had good experience with before. So you can also be creative in the realization of the app.
