Develop and test a jib crane model in ANSYS using 1) beam elements 2) create shell model from given solid-works model 3) For shell model create efficient solution that reduced computing time and asses mesh convergence. Provide step by step instructions for each part 1-3. I am a new ANSYS user and am finding it difficult to complete an assignment in time. The assignment is for ANSYS beginners so nothing to difficult for a competent user. Attached is a pic of the crane. No moving parts. If you are interested I can send more files before we agree on a final price.

Hi, Absolutely the shell mesh is good for this structure. We can get the correct results by shell. But the users must have experience in shell meshing. We can help you about that. - The mesh should be done by Hypermesh or ANSA - then export to Ansys. See you. Best regards.
