I require a simple 500 word (max) article that helps a reader to find a good van rental company. This article does NOT sell van rental, and it does not contain padding. ## Deliverables The title of the article I require is: "How to choose a good van rental company". The readership is based in London, England. So English spelling and references are preferred. The purpose of this article is to help me find a couple of web content writers who can produce simple, easy to read articles according to the instructions below. Once I have found people who can deliver this sort of copy I will be offering them lots of work. PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BELOW. IF YOU READ THE FOLLOWING AND STICK TO IT, THE CHANCES ARE I'LL ACCEPT YOUR ARTICLE STRAIGHT AWAY. IF YOU DON'T, THEN THE ARTICLE WILL ALMOST CERTAINLY HAVE TO BE SUBSTANTIALLY IF NOT COMPLETELY RE-WRITTEN. The title of the article dictates the content. Avoid picking a key phrase from the title and writing a general article about that key phrase. It is essential that the specific question or angle in the title is directly addressed. For example, if the title says, "Current buns - are they safe to eat?" DON'T - write about how everyone loves current buns...this is how you can make them...you have a lot of choice in current buns...talk to your local baker to find out which current buns are best for you. DO - write about whether or not current buns are safe to eat...these are the potentially dangerous ingredients...these are the safe ingredients...these are dangerous ways to eat them...these are safe ways to eat them. Other equally important steps: 1. Do not sell or encourage to buy or go ahead with any procedure. The purpose of this article is to inform, not to market or sell. 2. Do not use 'absolutes' when talking about what any procedure can provide. For example, - do not say "this widget can give you great joy". Instead say, "this widget can help to increase your level of joy." The key phrase here is "can help to". - do not say "You can get a new set of dentures". Instead say, "Depending on the state of your dental health, you may be able to get a new set of dentures." 3. I would like the article to be very 'fact' based. Don't waste time talking about how everyone wants a perfect widget/ service or any similar padding. Get straight to the point in an informative way as if it is a specialist is speaking directly to the reader - e.g. "The level of pain and discomfort associated with widgets today is much less than it used to be. This is possible due to?" Readers want crunchy information NOT happy, puffery! If there is a sentence that sounds as though it would fit in a gossipy magazine then it probably should be removed! 4. Address the reader directly not in the third person. For example, DO say "you might find?", DO NOT say "some patients might find?" 5. Please keep paragraphs short - more than 50 words and it's probably too long. 6. Keep it as simple as you can. Don't try to sound intelligent by using long or complicated words. You might have to use some complicated technical terms, but please explain what they mean e.g. "?this can lead to pericoronitis (severe gum inflammation)?" 7. Please keep article length to 450-500 words. This is very important. I cannot use articles that are outside this word length. You don't have to go into massive detail about every point. Just enough to explain and give basic understanding. This will enable you to stay within the required word length. 8. Your English must be syntactically and grammatically correct. Very minor inaccuracies are OK, but if your first language is not English then this assignment is probably not for you! 9. Don't be tautological. If you have to look that up then, once again, this assignment is probably not for you! 10. If you need guidance on the style/ tone, see the videos at [login to view URL] They are informative and friendly without being pushy and are devoid of irrelevant puffery. 11. Do not load the article with the keywords or phrases. If you do this the article will be rejected immediately. Just write in normal, helpful prose. If the keywords come up naturally then that's fine, but don't try to insert them. If anything try to avoid using the keywords through the body of the article. Please let me know if this needs to be clarified. Many thanks. David.
