Write a beginners guide to chemistry (and the underlying math when necessary) for a website. Limited graphic design desired, though low-quality graphics are fine as long as they are understandable. Write for those with no previous knowledge of chemistry. Each selected topic will be in the form of an inquiry. For example, "What is an electron?". The topic would then briefly and directly specify what an electron is, using an example if applicable. The guide would be approximately 5 pages (two pages for each topic).

IMPORTANT: There are three approximately equally important factors in candidate selection:

A. If you have a degree in chemistry, say so. If not, state which college-level chemistry and math classes you have learned. Don't bother listing more than five of either chemistry or math courses. I expect a minimum of three chemistry classes and Calculus.

B. In bid, provide a writing sample. In your own words, detail the evidence which lead scientists to establish the proton, neutron, and electron as the three primary components of the atom. Alternatively, you may write any other chemistry-related writing of your choice. Assumes little/no prior chemistry knowledge. Understandability is of primary importance. If there is information you must look up, make sure to provide your source.

C. Schedule Requirements: I will identify *one* topic to be covered daily at about 8PM CST, though the time will vary widely. Write the topic within the following time periods:

1. 75% of topics written within 24.0 hours.

2. 95% of topics written within 50.0 hours.

3. All topics written within 100.0 hours.

4. When the schedule cannot be met I must be told ahead of time.
