Bookkeeping for online retailer

I am seeking a part-time bookkeeper for an online retailer based in Australia. This role would likely start as approximately one day per week's work with potential for more work in future. Candidates need to be able to work independently with little supervision and be good communicators. Some knowledge of accounting principles is required, in addition to bookkeeping experience.

Responsibilities include:

Classifying all bank and credit card transactions to the correct account in the accounting system, Xero (cloud based);

Entering purchase invoices into Xero;

Assisting with basic checks of month end reports including sales and inventory, e.g. checking for formula errors;

Drafting manual journals based on month end reports for review by the Financial Controller (journals are recurring);

Reporting to the Financial Controller; and

Analysis in Excel.

Bookkeeping experience is required.

Excel experience is required.

Experience using Xero is desirable.
