I can provide this service. I have over 30 years experience in the design, development and manufacturing of control and monitoring applications and systems.
I am skilled in both hardware design, including schematic capture, layout, fabrication, assembly and test in both though hole and surface mount designs, and software, including requirements, design, implementation and test. I excel in documentation, something that is surely lacking these days.
I propose to design a board as small as possible (battery may be the constraining factor) to meet your requirements.
I will need to work with you to select the proper device ( unless the device can only travel in one plane, a three axis device may be required). Since most accelerometers provide acceleration data only, I propose that a small mpu such as the PIC10FXXX or PIC12FXXX be considered to test and drive the solenoid.
I would need to know additional information such as:
- Environmental requirements such as temperature and humidity
- Operational requirements such as how long the device is required to operate on the battery
- Human interface requirements such as on-off mechanism and abilities to set G limits, whether it is an instantaneous reading that alarms or some mechanism to reject noise must be present.
- Packaging requirements such as whether this will be encased in an enclosure or not.
