I recently finished a battery powered LED product involving more than 24 LED's. This product is currently being prepared for production. I have good connections with several well established LED suppliers in China. We can get you the best quality LED's on the market. For the battery I would recommend using a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery because this is where battery technology is headed. These batteries are safer, cleaner and lighter. I'm thinking we can pulse the LED's at a few hundred hertz and use PWM to further lower power consumption. We can recharge the battery using a Microchip battery management controller and a Silicon Labs 8051 for the user interface and LED control. A Simple Transistor circuit can be used to effectively manage the LED driving. This project sounds like it will be a lot fun. I can also help significantly with the production planning of this project. I work for a company called Ambrotek Corporation which specializes in cost reduction and manufacturing of new products. We could easily put together a plan for you and outline exactly how much production will cost and how much time it will take.
