Please read carefully and save both of us time. This purpose of the device being designed is to be able to record audio (in low fidelity) using electrostatic means. This means charge deposition - not magnetism or other digital means. Your part is only to design the electronics for it, provide a prototype for proof of concept and design a PCB that can be mass produces. All you need to deal with is electronics - the mechanical part is something you do not need to touch but you will get information about it as needed. To make things easier, the whole device will be based on an existing design so all you need to do is "fork" the proven design and adjust it for low cost and modern parts. Prototypes will be tested on my end so you should be able to send them to me. This is pretty simple I believe, considering you have a reference design.

Hello, my name Is George Bouris. I'm very experienced in electronics and I like physics and experimenting. You, actually, want a modulated HV power supply, to connect its output to a pin, which will transfer static electricity to the recording medium. I have two remarks for this recording method: 1. The recording medium will discharge to the air relatively quickly, unless you put it in vacuum. 2. I'm afraid that reading it back, you will erase it - I can't see how to avoid it. Anyway, I can build the needed hardware and send it to you for evaluation. I'd like to know, however, the testing method, because, as I said, it will probably erase the recording.
