Hello,
My name is Jeffrey Butler and I'm an accountant in Upstate New York. I graduated from college in 2009 and 2010 with my BBA and MBA, respectively, both with a focus in accounting.
I started my career working for 2 years and 8 months (three busy seasons) at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working mostly on large manufacturing clients. I then made a lateral career move to a regional accounting firm where I worked on small manufacturing clients, before transitioning over to their consulting practice. I spent a total of 3 years and 3 months at my second accounting firm before settling down at a local non-profit.
My Microsoft Excel/Excel VBA expertise began while working as a consultant for 3 years. I began creating basic Microsoft Excel templates for local companies, which transformed into complex macro enabled templates and process improvements. I also was blessed with the opportunity to work with budget projections, input controls, and minor experience in valuation and purchase accounting.
On the side, I have also had the opportunity to work with, and aid in the creation of, personal finance budgeting and personal financial planning.
I enjoy the challenges associated with template and macro creation and look forward to having freelancing opportunities to use my skill set to improve the effectiveness of accounting departments.
