Company Logo Creation & Color Palette

We are looking for someone to come up with some awesome looking logo designs for a new website. The website is going to be a gaming network focused on providing many different types of services for casual and professional gamers. The logo should make use of some simplistic, unique symbol as well as the name or the site. The site is called [url removed, login to view] and the logo should either have PlayFrag, PlayFrag Network, PlayFrag Gaming, or PlayFrag Gaming Network. I'm not too sure which will look best so a few different samples will help us pick.
The goal is to create something that is simplistic but modern and easily recognizable. We want to have the logo's icon something that can be displayed on it's own and become part of the brand (ie. remove the text and members will recognize it is our symbol).
As far as color, I would prefer more vibrant or darker colors. A lot of gaming sites focus on dark colors. These colors will also be used when creating our website layout, so if you could include a color palette as well (such as background, text, link, etc) it would be appreciated.
The logo should be on a white background (since it will need to be transparent to work properly with whatever theme we develop for the site.
Since this is for a new site that has not even started development, the budget is virtually non-existent and will affect which offer is accepted.
