I want to build a small web-based application for clinic management that will be used by doctors and their assistants. It should cover smart appointments for patients, medical history, list of medicines with brand names and generic names and other common features. The application should be able to provide graphs and charts based on patient's medical history. It should also show the higher and lower limit of the values and should show alert in different color if patient's data is beyond normal. I have decided to build it on Java technologies, however other suggestion is welcome. The application should be able to run on a web server and users can log on to application through username and password. User will be given access based on their roles. For example, some users can view the name of the medicines but can not add new medicine to the list. I would appreciate if the application is built in separate layers so that we can change the UI to android in future.
