Clean up Malware on Website

did you take backups of that? and can you trace dates as to when the malware alerts got in? hostgator is not a good host as they don't seem to have anti hack protections in place, neither they alert the client... I would suggest you to migrate to a host with these options, else even if someone removes the current malware, there's no assurance the site won't get pounded again. - CL
