The first step would be to speak about what you are looking for so as to get an idea of the style, color, theme, etc. After which I will prepare 2 to 3 different rough versions of the logo within a couple of days and send them over to you to see what options you like better. After that I will create the final version and polish and refine it and finalise it. You can still ask for minor changes and modifications at this stage.
