Hello, As a full time freelance artist I've been hired to illustrate many children's books and magazines including a novel about a man, his family and their horse! So I have the experience you need. My bid is a rough estimate as it depends on how many images you need, what size and complexity, etc. If you require one image per page, this is a very large, time consuming project so I hope you can increase your budget as $250 is WAY too low for that amount of work. If you only require a few illustrations then I can work in that budget so please message me with the details so we can discuss it and then I can also send you drawings I've done for other authors. If hired I first send you rough sketches to approve or make changes to then complete the artwork with either watercolors or painted in Photoshop. We can break it down into sets of images so you can pay as we go and not in one, big sum, and once the images are paid for you will own the rights to them. I've been around horses a lot growing up, so while I'm more used to drawing humans, I have drawn horses before and their anatomy isn't too alien to me. I could easily do 25 simple black and white ink illustrations within 15 days.

Hello! My name is Emma Cooper, and I would love to work on this project with you! I am passionate about illustration, in fact I am currently going for a second degree in that field, to go with my AA in Multimedia design. I trained at the Art Institute with a heavy emphasis in animation and fine art, so I am able to produce many different styles of artwork in a limited amount of time. I particularly love animal and human figure drawing, so I would love to tackle this project for you. I welcome any input from the client I can get, so I'm interested in hearing what your ideas about the look of the horse are. I can work in any medium you'd like as well.
