I'm looking for an Microsoft access database solution for handling return shipments (product complaints) from customers.
A shipment can contain several different products, and we need to have a record for each product in a specific shipment and what we did with each returned product, eg a credit note for product A, product B is sent to service/ repair and maybe got a new product for product C. Each product can have its own procedure for how the customer get a compensation, and we need to be able to track how we handled a given return shipment from customers.
Date, customer, product no and description, and a few other fields where we can enter information for each returned product in the same shipment.
It's important that we can enquire or generate reports for any type of information about when something was received, customer, product and what is done with that product from our side, also accross shipments, eg search for a given product no, product serial no, or product description and other info regarding what is status or done with a given product.
