We are trying to develop an android app as part of a broader web based application for a corporate client. This app will allow employees to receive messages from various parts of the company. The application will closely resemble Watsapp on features except for the facility to send messages which wil NOT BE THERE. We need tabbed options to filter and view messages of different types and some simple rules to be followed in treating the messages after they are received and stored in the phone. The app will use the Google push notification platform for certain messages and a pull system for others. We have built a basic prototype using internal resources with which we have implemented the pull system. Work will involve setting up a push system and implementation of the simple new rules.
