**ASP RSS Aggregation & Display

**Hello,

I have developed an ASP page which will grab any single RSS feed and display it in an HTML table on the page. I am a novice, and I don't know quite enough about ASP to add the additionaly functionality to this page that I need.

The new functionality entails bringing in as many RSS feeds as I specify in the final ASP code (I assume bringing them all into an XML object), and also me being able to specify in the code how many RSS items will be selected from the XML object. These items will be selected at RANDOM for display in the final HTML table.

The specifics are in the "Deliverables" Section...

## Deliverables

Here are the complete list of requirements to be added to this single ASP page.

1) Ability to add as many feeds in the ASP code that I want, and to have them all brought into the XML object in ASP.

2) Ability to specify how many items out of this XML object I want displayed in the HTML table output, and have these items selected AT RANDOM for display. _Error checking_ : make sure in the code that the integer is less than the total items in object, if not, just select all items in random order.

3) Caching - The XML Object should be cached for 24 hours, then upon the next page request, the XML object will be updated from the RSS feeds, random selection again (based on same integer I specify in the code in step 2 above)

4) Step 3 Caching should be specific to the individual page (example: 2 pages on my website have this ASP code in them, but they both show different results from RSS feeds (which may also be different RSS feeds for each of the pages). Each page will show it's results for 24 hours, at that point upon the next request, each page will get fresh results as specified in step 3.

5) Duplicate above functionality - Ability to have 2 different HTML tables on the page, each independent of the other, each being able to use different RSS feeds if specified (in other words, just duplicate the functionality of the final HTML table twice, so I can have two final HTML tables on each page, each with different cached results, with the cache only specific to that page).

This should be pretty easy for someone that knows what they are doing, and I apologize for the long-winded description, but I want to make sure you understand what I need.

Please ask for clarification if there is any confusion. I will submit to you the ASP page that needs the above functionality added upon request and interest.

Thank You,

Dan Eggertsen

P.S. Deliverable is the single ASP page refined with the above functionality. I will use it on many pages on my website.

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
