Challenging small Graphic project

I have two pics in the attached .ZIP file: One of a sandy ground, and one of an interface i'm using with two pillars on either side. I need the sandy ground to be redone so that it fades and flows into the edges of the two pillars and appears to "fit" into the picture of the two pillars, filling the black area without a "squarish" look to it. If you need to change the sand pic a bit that's ok, if it looks good. A somewhat challenging project, but shouldn't be too difficult.
