We require an electronic engineer to design a temperature control module (heating and cooling) to accurately keep the temperature of a small volume (250 cc) to within 1 degree Celcius. The volume contains electronic, mechanical and optical parts.
The point at which the temperature is held is not clear at the moment so it needs to be adjustable within the range 20degC to 40degC. We need to be able to change this value via a serial command.
The module must act quickly to stabilise the temperature to within 3degC, we would prefer this to be done in under 1 minute if possible. We are aware that a small fan may be required in order to acheive this.
The module should be as small as possible and take the smallest amount of current possible.
We do not want to place limitations on the heating/cooling technology used but it would seem that Peltier/Seebeck effect devices would probably be suitable.
We can accept a schematic diagram from which which we will produce a PCB to be populated by us and returned to the bidder for testing. This will avoid the bidder having to pay for any components.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s), firmware and schematics in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
For firmware we would prefer PIC18F4620 or PIC 16F877 with the code to run as part of an MPLab V7 project.
If an independent controller chip exists then the project could also be accomplished this way.
