Create a C++ wrapper to a VB .net dll. This must be written according to specifications that will allow the dll to be called from an external application (Intersystems Cache)
The instructions for the dll format can be found at <[login to view URL]> . The main instructions can be found by clicking on the link "Calling External Applications with $ZF" then paging down to the heading "Calling External Functions with $ZF on UNIX or Windows Platforms", however note that this section assumes you will be writing external functions when in fact you will be writing a dll. The links to "Building Callout Modules as Shared Libraries", "Referencing a User-Defined Callout Module" and "Sample Caché Callout DLL Build Procedures" discuss how to write the functions as a dll, but assume that you have already read the "Calling External Functions with $ZF on UNIX or Windows Platforms" section.
## Deliverables
The VB .net dll contains a single function, as follows:
Public Function isValid(ByVal strIn As String) As Boolean
? ? ? ? ? ? ? If strIn = "Valid" Then
? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Return True
? ? ? ? ? ? ? Else
? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Return False
? ? ? ? ? ? ? End If
End Function
The dll must function correctly when called from Intersystems Cache.
