Good Morning,
I have a Codeigniter application running inside a subfolder of a Wordpress Install.
For someone who knows what they are doing, this job will be very easy.
I have extensive knowledge of the layout of this application and will guide the developer through the application area controllers / models and views to explain where each function is called.
The main vessel controller was using a instance of TinyMCE install to add in description for one text area.
I have determined that this was causing problem and the form would then not save correctly and would occasionally revert to draft values after saving.
I have remove this and replaced with standard textarea and form was working as expected.
This textarea is wrapped in a <p> tag and a new function added to convert any double new line characters into a </p><p> tag this allows for simple layout formatting of the textarea without the need to use full Tiny MCE editor.
The form is currently saving into the database correctly.
However the 'save form progress information lightbox' is not being updated to show that form has been saved.
Therefore the user has no idea that the save has completed.
I am after someone to step through this controller/model/view function.
a) Determine best way to fix this.
b) Remove 2 of the save_form autosave functions that are not needed which previously posted details to another website.
c) Work out what is causing long delay in this function. (on testing server it was taking 15- 30+ seconds to run with most time spent on ideal).
d) Give recommendation and idea for how this controller can be improved.
To ensure that all prospects have actually read this job description in full can you please answer the following questions in your quote.
Otherwise you will not be considered for this job.
1. What skills or recent work have you completed that will help you with this task?
2. What website or job are you most proud of completing.
3. What did you have for breakfast?
Please note that this job will be a trial for some part time ongoing work to do with improving this site.
Examples of further development that would like to do to make the admin area compatible with ipad is to change swf_upload to use wordpress's upload function such as plupload [login to view URL]
Warm regards
Paul
