AVR Auto Baud Detect

I'm paying generously for the one who know their AVR stuff !!

I have an ATMEGA128 AVR and use both UARTS for my application.

I need to process some commands and characters but usually the data is passed unaltered between UART0 and UART1.

It works fine at 9600,8,n,1 but this is not the goal.

The ATMEGA is attached to an FT232BM USB to Serial Converter and will be used by many software applications. These applications all use varying baud rates, varying stop bits and start bits which makes a static setting all the more unnatractive.

I don't wish for the user to have to open a "config" program to change baud rate and therefore the solution should be seamless.

Therefore I require Bascom AVR (preferebly) or ASM (perfectly OK too) code that does the following:

* Determines the baud rate, start and stop bits on UART0 and sets UART1 accordingly.

* Loses no characters in the process.

* Skips future baud rate checks until it notices a change.

* Allows me to break out into Bascom AVR to process the data.

It's absolutely crucial that no characters are lost during these checks. Furthermore there is no standard character to base these checks upon, therefore the start and stop bits should be used to base these checks upon. The only constant is that the data is (a) asynchronous and (b) has no parity and (c) uses 8 bits. Some applications use one stop bit and others use 2.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

Thank you to all of those who replied and said that ym idea was impossible.

Your comments and feedback were highly appreciated.

I shall shortly cancel this bid request and attempt to find another way to make this possible.

If you are skilled in VCP Driver Development please look out for a future bid request and feel free to post a bid.

Regards,

Stephen
