ARTISAN-DIRECT-TO-RETAILER WEB INTERFACE
mysql, php
Presents a series of products in two Groups
1. pewter
2. 925 silver
(later there will be more groups)
each Group is organized into units of 100 unique style numbers (sku)
0000-0099, 0100-0199, 0200-1299 ...
each sku is a record in the data base with descriptions, image, and current cost
the cost factor of each sku is updated every morning from a corresponding data base
corresponding data base is hosted on the local computer, uploads a daily cost total update
the dynamic prices display on the Artisan-Owned Direct Distribution web interface
the dynamic prices on the web page result from the multiplication of a g.p.m. value
gpm means gross profit margin; it is the ratio between the price and the cost
the administrator adjusts the settings for each web page by applying gpm values
example> if the gpm is set at 2.5, that means that a piece that costs $1.00 is priced at $2.50
There are two presentation modes . Both sales service modes are present in every web page
1. Shopping Cart mode
2. Offer mode
Shopping Cart mode (USER)
As prospect adds pieces to shopping cart
the program calculates the cart trial total
when the trial total exceeds a threshhold
the price of each piece in the cart goes down
to the next lower level.
Images of everything in the shopping cart
are displayed along the vertical left border
Shopping Cart mode (ADMINISTRATOR)
The setting screen for the AODD webpage
has a double row of paired input windows
the paired inputs are GPM and PRICE BREAK
3.5 at .99usd$, 3.2 at $199usd$ 2.7 at $399usd$
it is set up so the administator inputs the values
for the lowest and the highest price peak levels
the script evenly fills in the interexisting values
in the input windows between highest & lowest
then the administrator is still able to manipulate
the levels both in terms of price break & of gpm
each page has its gpm and price break settings
that determine the prices in the shopping cart.
