Biometric Image Capture Example Code

A very simple sample application written in MS Access with two parts: 1. A sample application that automatically captures the image from a Futronic Fingerprint Scanner, displays it in a picturebox, holds the bitmap in memory until step 3. A very good API is provided by the manufacturer, with sample code. 2. In addition to the fingerprint image capture, we need capture from a USB webcam to another picturebox. directshow or similar cross-platform capability is required. This capture should be a dialog that allows you to preview the video, capture an image (1600p x 1200p), then overwrite the image with a new capture if the image is not good enough. 3. Once the two images are captured, a "store" button copies three files into a created folder on the hard disk. The file names are created using the ID number from a text box in the main screen. File names should be 'ID# + finger' for the fingerprint image 'ID# + photo' for the photo 'ID# + info' for a text file containing the id number and filenames. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
