CakePHP-based membership site

We need a general-purpose registration and membership web site, to be developed in PHP using MySQL and an application framework such as Cake. The general idea is to have a system for managing general-purpose sessions (i.e. classrooms, lectures, meeting rooms, etc.) that we need to track. Unregistered users should be able to create an account. Logged in users see a dashboard of their upcoming sessions. Users with sufficient privileges should see controls to create new sessions; send session invites to users; modify session settings; send session reminder emails. There may be some limits to these functions based on access privileges. The application should have some ability to do some tasks periodically, i.e. send reminder emails 15 minutes before a session, without any user intervention. Database: MySQL. Aside from the fields required to implement the above, we'll want to store some additional info for users; full list of fields will be provided before start of work. Tags: users with a certain level of privileges should be able to put tags on anything: sessions, users, resources, etc. Look and feel: we're looking for a decent level of web 2.0 look and feel. Nothing over the top, but the use of ajax and some effects would be nice. Cake: Cake is a MVC application framework for PHP with some similarities to Ruby on Rails: http://www.cakephp.org. If you prefer another framework, tell us which one and make a case for it in your bid. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform This browser-based project should work on all major modern browsers (IE 6, Firefox, Safari).
