Data Capture from Website

We order products from our supplier's website, which has information about each product's release date, barcode, trade price, description, etc. We currently gather this information by manually clicking into each product's information file, which is time consuming. Can a crawler or other program be developed to run through each product on the supplier's site and gather all of this information into a database? ie each product would be a record in the database with various fields for release date, barcode, etc. The information changes daily (eg available stock in inventory) so this program would need to be run frequently. The supplier site is also password protected which we can give you. Please see the attached powerpoint file to see the manual process we do currently. When bidding please also answer the following questions: - can the data collected be sent as output to an MS Access database, - if supplier data has changed can this be flagged the next time the application is run - will I need any non-standard software to run your application. Thanks ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
