The James River Jewelry Co. is a small jewelry shop that specializes n hard to find Oriental jewelry. It has a small but loyal clientele, and it wants to further increase customer loyalty by creating a frequent buy program. In this program after every 10 purchases customers will recieve a credit of 50% of the sum of their 10 most recent purchases. The company would also like to record artists and styles and to keep track of what customers are intersted in (artists and styles).
Also most of the jewelry is sold on consignment so the company does not pay the artist of a piece of jewelry until it is sold. Typically the company pays artist 60 percent of the sales prices but the terms are negotiated separaately for each item. For some items the artists on the initial sales prices at the time the item is brought in. When the item has been in the shop for some time, James River may reduce the price or renegotiate the slaes percentage.
