Voice of customer Application: We want to develop Voice of Customer (VoC) application. Basic idea is that, on the website when it is enabled with VoC, visitors of the website will be able to leave a voice message. Recorded message can be played back before it is submitted. Additional information visitor can submit is name, contact details like email and phone number. VoC Service will be hosted on Server, let us call this VoC Server. In order to use this service, customer of this service will first register on the site with following details: 1. Name 2. Address (Street, City, State, Postal Code/Zip Conde) 3. Web Site e.g. [login to view URL] 4. Email (also act as user id) 5. Password of choice (min 6 characters, Alpha numeric) 5. Captcha field for human user verification Once customer submit these details, verification is done by sending email to given email address. Upon verification by customer, account in the VoC server is created and VoC widget HTML code is sent to customer. Once customer receives VoC widget code, customer will paste it on his/her website. Widget will have Customer Id embedded in the widget script. Once customer paste widget code on the website, VoC service is ready for the customer. Now when any visitor visits customers website, visitor will see nice graphics to inform visitors that by clicking it, visitor can leave a voice message to website owner or sales people. Nice looking dialog will popup and visitor can record, play back the message and optionally enter his/her name, contact details (phone/email id) and submit it. Submitted details will be sent to VoC server, once it is successfully received, it will send email to Customer (who is website owner on which message is sent) informing him/her that there is voice message for you from visitor name and contact details (if given) and link to listen to voice message sent by visitor. Customer can also visit VoC Server, enter his/her credentials (login) and see messages left by his/her website visitors. Customer can play these messages, purge or forward it to other people. We feel that it can done easily using Flash widget with PHP/MySQL but we are open for other suggestions.
