creative drupal expert needed for a multi-lingual social net

I am running a European forum and social network and am looking for a reliable Drupal programmer. The software that the site is running on right now is based on a big java framework (with a php frontend) that has become hard to maintain over the years. What are the features of the site right now? It is basically a closed forum, but it has many features that are not out of the box. Just to name a few: Advanced notifications - users get weekly automated newsletters where they are fed - new posts from the forum, that they have NOT read yet - old posts that they HAVE read and have been commented by other users since - unread old posts that are RELATED to their specialty or field of expertiese. Users have a very advanced profile with many details. They have specialties with many SUB-specialties and can RANK each other in those specialties (and earn stars for themselves, much like on ebay) The specialties also play a part in which forums posts are more relevant to them The site is fully multilingual. The users and their posts have a "home language" but can for instance chose to read italian posts, while keeping their navigation menu's and such in french. URLs within emails have deeplinks, which automatically login the user and bring him to the desired page. This is just a little excerpt of what will be ahead. I need somebody with EXTENSIVE drupal knowledge, good communication, an eye for usability (hard to find in programmers) and a very good grasp of what is esentially needed and what is overengineered and NOT needed in the end. I am aware that one could program most of the features fairly quickly in drupal, but I do NOT want an uncrontrollable hard-to-maintain piece of spaghetti code, where code is written all over, into templates etc. I would like to have as many things coded into modules as possible; OVERWRITING FUNCTIONS ONCE instead of replacing them many times. For me to evaluate your skills of drupal and clean coding, I would like you to develop a little test module: A module that displays a box, containing 3 random users with their login counts. I will have my in-house programmer evaluate your code. The solution you find should be the smartest possible one, the code the cleanest possible one.
