Ajax/PHP Polling Application

This project is for the development of a web application/script that will be integrated into an existing website. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do NOT bid on this project unless you have strong experience in both Ajax (most important), and PHP. I am not interested in developers who dabble in Ajax, or are just learning dojo or jquery! Please, all bidders must have an online portfolio of Ajax work they have done in the last year. Second Important Note: The project must complete prior to the end of the month. Please only bid if you have the resource availability to complete the work in question. The work should take no more than 15-20 days for a single developer. Project: The project is to build a small polling application that will be integrated into an existing website. The work will require advanced knowledge of Ajax: XMLHttpRequest object, as well as a wide variety of common libraries such as Dojo, Prototype, or Jquery. As the application will be called in a unique way inside of an existing script on the site, the developer should have good knowledge of php. CSS and xhtml skills (understanding) are also required. Communication: Also, project documentation and task updating will need to be done via Basecamp, as well as IM & Email. Would prefer a developer who is able to work at least some hours that intersect with UK time. Development: All code must be stored daily in our Subversion repository. A test/dev environment can be arranged if required. References: As well as the portfolio, I would be happy to look over any references that you may have.
