I would like a website where any visitor can submit the link to an eBay auction, identify the product via a relational database (only three terms, manufacturer, product, and qualifier), and the app will follow until the auction closes, and then records the sale price. I also have a network of stores that could report the sale price of a used item, and using the same relational database, can enter the sale price. I want to then be able to search and view results from this database for a public pricing guide of used merchandise, including minimal trend analysis. There should be an administrator login to enter descriptions to the relational database, and rectify entries that are not complete based upon descriptions that a user can enter if a suitable option does not exist. In my thinking, there's three database tables.
The database itself should be in mysql, the site in css, and should have some sort of an interface, but does not need graphical elements. I'm fine with a Craigslist style text interface for the moment. This is a smaller, independent feature of a larger much more complex site in development.
## Deliverables
A mostly full version of what I want:
Can track ebay auctions to find the final sale price, buy now price and number of bids. A web user can input the auction link, and then input the item by a relational database.
Can also take user reported data from a store using the relational database and sale price.
Would like to then export that data to a web page via search function giving results for both of the following in a table:
For auctions:
Brand, Item, qualifier ebay average last week, last month, last quarter, all time
For store used:
brand item qualifier sale price last week, last month, last quarter, all time
should have search capabilities, show related products.
Tables/databases:
**Relational database**
Product ID
Brand -->add new
model -->add new
qualifier -->add new
**auction database**
auction item ID
Product ID
end date
link
Sale Price
Buy now price
**Retail used sales Database
**Retail ID
Product ID
date
sale price
item ID/SKU (if applicable)
Store
City
Admin control panel should:
Allow admins to add to or edit the relational database
View database entries that have entries with "add new" information
Be able to view and delete entries that are not in the normal range
Add new admin users
View and tabulate which stores are entering data
*Duplicate Item ID's go with most recent one (old one gets kicked out)
*Admin should be able to retrieve stores data, plus tabulate qty per store
Want to have a web interface to view data by brand, by item,
Database in mysql, should be in css, so we can add style, but should have structure to go up as is in a basic text version (craigslist style).
